AI Job Search Plugin for Claude Code

What is it?

The Proficiently Skills package brings your full job search workflow into Claude Code. Instead of switching between tabs, copying prompts, and pasting results, you run slash commands directly in your terminal and get polished, tailored output in seconds.

How to install

Open Claude Code and run:

claude install-skill https://github.com/proficientlyjobs/proficiently-claude-skills

That’s it. The skills will be available immediately.

The workflow

1. Set up your profile

Run /proficiently:setup once. This walks you through uploading your resume, setting your job preferences (titles, locations, salary range), and a short work history interview so the agent understands your experience in depth.

2. Find matching jobs

Run /proficiently:job-search to search for open positions that match your profile. Results are ranked by fit and you can drill into any listing.

3. Tailor your resume

Found a job you like? Run /proficiently:tailor-resume with the job URL or description. The agent rewrites your resume to highlight the experience and skills that matter most for that role.

4. Write a cover letter

Run /proficiently:cover-letter to generate a cover letter that connects your background to the specific job. No generic filler — it pulls from your work history interview.

5. Scan your network

Run /proficiently:network-scan to check if any of your LinkedIn connections work at companies with matching openings. Warm intros beat cold applications.

6. Apply

Run /proficiently:apply to submit your application with the tailored materials.

7. Go mobile with Telegram

Want to run your job search from your phone? Run /loop 1m /proficiently:jobsearch-telegram to start a Telegram bot that polls for your messages. Send a job URL and it applies for you. Say “search AI product jobs” and it finds matches. Say “status” to see where everything stands. All the skills above work through chat — no terminal needed.

Why use this instead of prompts?

The prompts on this site work great — but you have to copy, paste, and manage the back-and-forth yourself. The Claude Code plugin:
